Planet Ord

//Planet Ord

I spent a few minutes in the rain last week with Enid Baxter Blader. She is an Assistant Professor of Digital Video at CSU-Monterey Bay and is working on a project documenting Fort Ord, the old Army base where the school is now located. Many of the fort’s structures have been torn down or retrofitted, but many more of them still stand. Their hollowed out shells form a sort of graveyard of the base that once existed. It is cool that she is working on her project now, before all the buildings and people who lived and worked in them are gone.

The short break in the rain I had at the beginning of this shoot quickly turned into a downpour and after just a few minutes we made a break for our cars.
