I was recently looking through some of the photos I made at Emily and Justin’s wedding in Aptos Village Park.

I have also been looking at a good number of wedding photographers websites as I update and rebuild my own. One of the things that I came away with is a greater understanding of my style and how it fits in to the bigger picture (no pun intended) of wedding photography in general.

My style is photojournalistic and like covering a good story, I really love to grab the powerful moments that are so intrinsic to the event.

I love a great portrait and I shoot many as the wedding day unfolds, but for me capturing the emotions is paramount.

Capturing the ark of a wedding is what intrigues me: the anticipation, the joy and everything in between.
